Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather a resealable plastic bag and pour in the fresh lime juice and vegetable oil. Add the chipotle paste, chili powder, sweet paprika, chopped cilantro, cumin, onion powder, oregano, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Seal the bag and shake to combine into a smooth marinade.
  2. Shake the bag vigorously to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined, allowing the spices to dissolve into the liquids.
  3. Open the bag and insert chicken pieces, ensuring they fit comfortably. Seal tightly, pressing out air, and shake to coat the chicken evenly with the marinade.
  4. Place the sealed bag in the refrigerator. Marinate for at least 30 minutes for smaller cuts or up to 6 hours for bone-in pieces.
  5. Preheat your grill, pan, or oven to 375°F. Remove chicken from marinade and discard the leftover marinade. Cook until chicken is 165°F internally and golden brown.
