Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 13x9 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onions for 5-7 minutes until browned, draining excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add black beans, diced tomatoes, and sour cream; heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Layer Fritos in the baking dish, add half of the beef mixture, then sprinkle cheese. Repeat layering and finish with cheese on top.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, remove foil, then bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes, then top with Fritos and serve with toppings like green onions, jalapenos, guacamole, and salsa.
