- In a saucepan, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce, cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes until glossy.
