Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather all fresh vegetables, hummus, and whole grain bread at your workstation. Clean and slice the cucumbers and bell peppers into thin, even pieces while washing the spinach or lettuce.
  2. Preheat a toaster or dry skillet over medium heat. Lightly toast slices of whole grain bread for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool slightly. Spread hummus on one side of each slice of bread.
