  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning or dried thyme/oregano
  • 3 cloves Garlic freshly diced
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup White Wine optional
  • 2 tablespoons Butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley fresh

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the trout fillets dry with paper towels and season with Italian seasoning and salt. Set aside.
  2. Pour olive oil into a skillet and heat over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Place trout skin-side up in the skillet, cooking undisturbed for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Flip the trout to cook skin side down for an additional 2-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and cover for 5-10 minutes to let it rest.
  6. Transfer trout to a serving plate, separating from the skin.
  7. In the same skillet, add garlic, lemon juice, and white wine and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in butter and parsley until melted.
  9. Return the trout to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it before serving.
