Step-by-Step Instructions for Sourdough Pesto Grilled Cheese
- Gather all ingredients, including sourdough, mozzarella, and pesto. Prepare optional ingredients if using.
- Butter the top of each slice of sourdough, then place them butter-side-down in a frying pan.
- Layer 3-4 slices of mozzarella on each slice of bread, then add basil pesto and optional ingredients.
- Top with another slice of mozzarella and another slice of sourdough to create the sandwich.
- Butter the top side of the sandwich, then cook over medium heat until the bottom is golden-brown.
- Flip the sandwich carefully after 3-4 minutes and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from pan, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve.
