Preparation Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add your choice of pasta and cook for 8–10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 6–8 minutes until golden brown.
- Add another tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Once melted, sauté minced garlic and diced onion for 3–4 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return the sautéed chicken and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together and adjust seasoning as needed. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Plate the pasta hot, garnishing with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
