  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Add to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for a spicy kick.
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions Chopped for garnish.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  3. Sprinkle the beef short ribs with salt and black pepper.
  4. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and sear the short ribs for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Transfer the seared short ribs into a roasting pan, arranging them in a single layer.
  6. Pour the prepared marinade evenly over the short ribs in the roasting pan.
  7. Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for about 3 hours.
  8. After 3 hours, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Roast uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  9. Once caramelized, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 15-30 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish the ribs with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
