Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, mix together corn flour and water until smooth. Add soy sauce, grated ginger, sugar, and sesame oil, stirring until well combined. Fold into the ground beef and finely chopped onion, ensuring it is evenly absorbed.
  2. Roll out store-bought pastry and cut into 8cm squares. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each square. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle, crimping edges securely with a fork.
  3. Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Brush tops of assembled pies with egg yolk, sprinkle sesame seeds, and arrange on baking tray. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
