Ingredients
  

For the Koftas

For the Curry Sauce
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Customize according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For sautéing
  • 1 cup Whole Whipped Yogurt Substitute for cream

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, grated onion, egg, panko bread crumbs, ginger garlic paste, spices, cilantro, mint, and salt. Knead for 3-4 minutes until well-combined.
  2. Shape into about 16 uniform koftas and place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  3. Preheat the broiler on high and broil koftas for 3-5 minutes, flipping halfway through until browned.
Cooking the Curry
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for another minute; then add spices and bloom for a minute.
  3. Mix in tomato paste and crushed tomatoes, cooking for another 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Lower the heat, mix in yogurt and fenugreek leaves, adding water as needed and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Carefully add broiled koftas and simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and serve hot with basmati rice or naan.
