  • Air Fryer
  • Medium Bowl
  • baking sheet
  • Spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, blend softened unsalted butter with white miso paste, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sliced green onions until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F or your air fryer to 400°F. Place the salmon fillets on a lightly greased baking sheet or air fryer basket and ensure the salmon is at room temperature.
  3. Generously divide the prepared miso butter mixture over each salmon fillet, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
  4. For the oven method, bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until opaque and flakes easily. Switch to broil for the last 1-2 minutes for caramelization.
  5. If using the air fryer, place the salmon in the preheated basket and air fry for 9-10 minutes without flipping.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the salmon to a serving platter and drizzle with any remaining miso butter. Garnish with additional green onions and sesame seeds.
