  • 1 package Pizza Dough homemade or store-bought
Filling
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce plus extra for dipping
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese fresh mozzarella preferred
  • 1 cup Sliced Pepperoni can swap for ham or turkey
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or freshly minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese for topping
Egg Wash
  • 1 large Egg for brushing the crust

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 10x14 inches.
  3. Spread marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce and layer on sliced pepperoni.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one long edge to form a log and pinch edges to seal.
  6. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the top with egg wash and sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and grated parmesan.
  8. Cut several slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  10. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serve warm with extra marinara.
