Step-by-Step Instructions for Cherry Amaretto Tiramisu
  1. In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and heavy cream. Beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy and smooth.
  2. Add the amaretto liqueur, cherry juice, and vanilla extract to the whipped mascarpone mixture. Mix on low speed for another 1-2 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cherry preserves. Gradually fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Fold in the chopped fresh cherries into the mascarpone blend.
  5. In a shallow dish, combine the amaretto and cherry juice. Dip each ladyfinger quickly in this mixture.
  6. In a dish, arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers, then spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the top.
  7. Repeat the dipping and layering process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate.
