Cooking Instructions
- Cook the frozen gyoza dumplings according to the package instructions, either by steaming them for about 6-8 minutes or pan-frying them for 4-5 minutes in sesame oil until golden brown and crispy.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup until well combined and smooth.
- Once the dumplings have cooled, add them to the bowl with the dressing and gently toss to coat.
- Chop the heirloom tomatoes, slice the cucumber, and chop the scallions. Add these to the bowl along with the chili pepper and toss gently.
- Tear the basil leaves and sprinkle them over the salad. Top with toasted sesame seeds or crispy fried onions and serve.
- For an extra kick, serve with garlic chili sauce on the side.
