  • 10 slices day-old bread (French, brioche, or challah)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt can substitute sour cream or extra milk
  • 1 cup milk can use half-and-half for creaminess
  • 3/4 cup sugar reduce to 1/2 cup for less sweetness
  • 4 fresh peaches or use canned/frozen
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup pecans optional
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For the Caramel Sauce
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce optional for drizzling

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs, add melted butter, yogurt, and milk. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
  3. Fold in cubed bread and diced peaches, let soak for 30 minutes.
  4. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the soaked bread mixture.
  5. Cover with buttered foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. While baking, prepare the caramel sauce by combining butter, cream, and brown sugar in a saucepan and simmer until thick.
  7. Serve warm with caramel sauce drizzled on top.
