Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the springform pan.
- Beat cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time. Fold in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the banana pudding mix.
- Carefully fold the whipped cream mixture into the cream cheese base.
- Pour the creamy filling over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 50-55 minutes until set.
- Let cool at room temperature for about an hour, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Remove the springform pan sides and garnish with sliced bananas and additional vanilla wafers.
