- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks, adding cream of tartar to the whites.
- Whip the egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
- Mix softened cream cheese and salt into the yolks until smooth. Add sugar/honey if using.
- Gently fold one-third of the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture.
- Divide the mixture and color it with gel food coloring.
- Spoon the colored batter into the loaf pan, alternating colors and swirling gently.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and slightly springy.
- Cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack.
