Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks, adding cream of tartar to the whites.
  3. Whip the egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Mix softened cream cheese and salt into the yolks until smooth. Add sugar/honey if using.
  5. Gently fold one-third of the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture.
  6. Divide the mixture and color it with gel food coloring.
  7. Spoon the colored batter into the loaf pan, alternating colors and swirling gently.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and slightly springy.
  9. Cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack.
