Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the egg and beat until fully combined, creating a smooth batter.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the butter mixture until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 3-4 portions and mix in the Jello powder to each portion until colors are evenly distributed.
- Chill dough portions wrapped in plastic wrap for about 15-20 minutes.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, coat in additional sugar, and place on the baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set and tops are slightly crackled.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
