Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine fresh cherries and 2 tablespoons of water over medium heat. Simmer for about 3–5 minutes until soft. Mash slightly to release juices.
  2. In another pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil and steep the Earl Grey tea bag for 3–5 minutes. Remove the tea bag.
  3. In the saucepan with the cherries, gently add your choice of milk and heat over low, stirring occasionally. Optionally, add a cinnamon stick for the last few minutes.
  4. Stir in the vanilla syrup to the warm cherry-milk blend and adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Pour the brewed tea into a mug, strain the cherry-milk mixture over it, and mix well.
  6. Serve hot or allow to cool slightly before pouring over ice for a refreshing iced version. Garnish as desired.
