  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes omit for a milder taste
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Filling
  • 1/2 lb deli-sliced salami
  • 1/2 lb deli-sliced ham
  • 1/2 lb deli-sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 lb deli-sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 lb deli-sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Toppings
  • 1/4 cup roasted red peppers sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them hinged at the back.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquid.
  4. Combine melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper; whisk until blended.
  5. Brush the seasoned butter mixture over the cut sides of each roll.
  6. Layer the deli-sliced salami on each roll.
  7. Add the deli-sliced ham, then spicy pepperoni on top.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the pepperoni, then add provolone cheese on top.
  9. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  10. Top with roasted red peppers, black olives, and banana peppers.
  11. Finish with fresh basil leaves on top.
  12. Place sandwiches in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and bread is crispy.
  13. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then cut and serve warm.
