Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Baked Egg Boats
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausages for 8-10 minutes until browned.
  3. Hollow the baguette by cutting a 'V' shape along its length.
  4. Brush the inside of the hollowed baguette with melted butter.
  5. Whisk together eggs and milk in a mixing bowl, then stir in cheeses, scallions, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture into the hollow baguette and add sliced sausages on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the egg is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
